How to Prepare for Your First Spa Visit
A first spa visit can feel like a lot of unknowns. Here's what actually helps.
Arrive a little early
Fifteen minutes before your appointment is usually enough to settle in and fill in a short health questionnaire — this is standard, not a sign anything's wrong.
Wear whatever's comfortable
You don't need special clothing. Robes and towels are provided, and your therapist will explain what to expect before anything starts.
Say what you want, and don't want
Pressure, music, conversation or quiet, a same-gender therapist — all of it is fine to ask for. A good spa would rather you ask than guess.
Mention anything relevant
Allergies, sensitive areas, or anything you'd rather your therapist knew beforehand — better said at the start than partway through.
