Your first session
What to expect the first time
A walk-through of your first visit, so there are no surprises.
Assessment
We start by understanding your history, then assess movement, strength and the specific area of concern. This usually takes the first 20–30 minutes.
Plan
We explain what we found, in plain language, and build a plan together — what treatment looks like, roughly how many sessions, and what you can do between visits.
What to wear
Comfortable, loose clothing that lets us see and move the area we’re assessing — shorts for a knee or hip concern, a vest or loose top for a shoulder or back concern.
Good to know
A few things that help
- Bring any relevant scans, reports or a surgeon’s notes if you have them.
- Wear or bring clothing that allows easy movement of the area being assessed.
- Arrive a few minutes early for the first visit's paperwork.
- Write down your main questions beforehand — it's easy to forget them in the moment.
