Busy professionals who want 45 minutes away from their phone, new mothers easing back into movement, absolute beginners, and anyone who sits at a desk all day and wants to move differently for an hour. If you're after a sweaty power-yoga workout or acrobatic poses, this isn't that studio — classes here are slower and breath-led.
Arrive 10 minutes early so there's time to fill in a short form. Wear anything you can move in — leggings, a t-shirt, a kurta, whatever's comfortable. Mats, blocks and straps are provided. Let the teacher know about any injuries before class starts, and go at your own pace — nobody is watching.
Ananya has taught yoga in Demo City for eight years, after completing a 500-hour teacher training. She opened 12-dimensional yoga in 2016 to teach the way she wished she'd been taught — slowly, without music, with enough quiet to hear your own breath.
12-dimensional yoga opened on Design Street in 2016, in a top-floor room with good light and nowhere to rush to. The idea was simple: keep classes small, keep the pace slow, and let people actually learn the postures instead of just following along. Nine years on, that's still the whole plan.
Just yourself and comfortable clothes you can move in. Mats, blocks, straps and towels are provided.
See the weekly timetable above. The studio itself is open Monday–Saturday, 6:00 am – 8:00 pm, and Sunday mornings for the terrace class.
Two-wheeler parking is available at the building. Car parking is limited — the street nearby usually has space.
