When a video consultation makes sense — and when it doesn’t
A video consultation suits many everyday concerns well — a follow-up discussion, reviewing results, or a concern that doesn’t need a physical examination. It saves travel time without losing the unhurried conversation a good consultation needs.
It doesn’t suit everything. Some concerns genuinely need an in-person examination, and the doctor will say so plainly if that’s the case, rather than trying to manage it over video regardless.
Video consultations are not for emergencies. In a medical emergency, call 112. This information is general and not a substitute for a consultation with a doctor.
